David: He continues to be perfect. Tonight Byron put him on his stomach for some tummy time during a rare fussy moment and he rolled over without any problem twice in a row. He didn't get upset or anything, just acted like he was a pro. He looked cuter than cute today in a new church outfit, and I just love seeing the way he watches everything around him.
Caleb: He loves books. He brings them to us all the time and will let you read just about anything to him. It's so sweet when we're upstairs in his bedroom and he hands you a book then says "rock" to get you to sit in his rocking chair with him and read a book. He got to meet apostle D. Todd Christopherson today. He was here this weekend for our Stake Conference and invited parents to bring their children to shake his hand after the meeting. The line was long and Caleb was ornery as all get out until we got up to meet him, and I know he won't remember it, but it was worth the wait. He loves David so much it just melts my heart, and his vocabulary is slowly expanding. He got sick last week. I was watching my visiting teacher's children and he was being super cuddly. I didn't think anything of it until he spewed on their living room carpet. Thankfully the eldest child was at school and her 2 boys were upstairs playing, so I didn't have children running all over the place...that time, but he never got to the point where he wasn't hungry and he couldn't keep anything down, so when she came home on her lunch break, she let me take my boys home and called off the rest of the day. Thankfully it was just a 24 hour bug, but I cancelled play group the next day and had a cuddle day with him at home.
Byron: A week ago Friday we got about 6 inches of snow, so Saturday morning Byron took Caleb sledding at my parent's house. I don't think he lasted long outside in the cold, but they had fun and Byron was so excited. He got whatever Caleb had come down with this past Monday so he stayed home, but was able to work from my computer and didn't have to use time off for the whole day. The rest of the week was pretty uneventful, until Friday afternoon. His work Christmas party was that day, so my mom took Caleb and David and I went to Byron's work and got to talk to his co-workers and eat yummy food. One of his co-workers won a cookie jar in the raffle at the end, which he gave to us, and each employee got a box of Esther Price Chocolate that neither of us wanted so we passed it on to my Mommy.
Arielle: Things have been going well for me. I read a wonderful trilogy this past week called "The Hour Glass Door" I highly recommend it. It is written by an LDS author and is very descriptive and easy to get caught up in. My favorite thing about it is that she ties up all of the loose ends at the end of the book so I'm not thinking about it constantly trying to figure out how things should have ended. I got to host playgroup for my ward this week and have been trying to get ready for Christmas. It's a little harder than I thought it would be since I put everything off until after Thanksgiving, so I'm still trying to get my Christmas cards in the mail, but things are slowly coming together and I'm excited for the holiday cheer.
In General: I guess we've been having a pretty normal couple of weeks. I don't remember anything too exciting from last week, but just last night Byron took me out to Panera before the adult session of stake conference on a date. It was nice spending time with him and conference was wonderful. This afternoon we joined my Lane family at my grandparents house for their Christmas party and ate yummy food and played the Newly Wed game with all of the couples. It was fun and Byron and I did pretty well.
I think that's all the news I have for this week. I hope you're all doing well. We love and miss each of you and are thinking of you this incredibly special time of year.
Cheerio!
