Going to the Temple and They're Gonna Get Married

This week has been a busy one, and now that it's over, I can finally start the spring cleaning...just as soon as it stops raining... :)

David:  He has been talking so much this week!  Just this morning he was using all kinds of words while getting dressed and ready for the day and he's finally picked up the word "milk."  Unfortunately he uses it when asking for any kind of drink, but at least it's a word!  He loves to call camera's clicks, which sounds more like "chick", but it's still pretty cute, so no matter how hard my mom tries to teach him "camera", we're just letting is slide at home, which isn't helping any, I'm sure.

Caleb:  He is pretty sweet most of the time, but when he gets tired, he gets a little crazy.  He loves Big Hero 6 and calls Baymax "B-b-b-Maymax!" (I was trying to teach him the "b" sound for the word, but he still gets an "m" in there.  So much for trying haha)

He loves Sunbeams, but complains about his stomach hurting quite often, and since he also had a pretty congested cough and runny nose, I took him to the doctors office Wednesday morning.  I'm still not sure why his stomach bothers him so much, but his cough has been getting better since starting on a children's Zyrtec.  I feel awful giving it to him since it smells so awful and feels oily, but as long as I have a cup of milk or lemonade for him to wash it down with he takes it anyway, so I guess I'll just keep bribing him. :)

Byron:  He took the day off Tuesday for David's wedding and was a huge help all day getting the boys bathed and all of the clothes together and in the car before we headed to Columbus while I was at my parents getting my hair braided and helping with fixing Amber's hair, then keeping Caleb and David out of the parking lot during pictures while I tried to help take some.   I felt like I was taking advantage of him by the end of the week since he then watched them outside so I could socialize at my friends reception Friday night and was great about getting the boys bathed, keeping them entertained, and got them dressed before the receptions on Saturday.

Work has been going well, he and a co-worker managed to figure out how to fix a problem in one of the programs they use that they've been running into for about 2 years now.  He also is looking forward to a scout camp out this weekend at John Bryan State Park where they'll be mountain biking that morning.

Arielle:  I can't believe this week is over already.  I'm thrilled for my brother and new sister in-law, and felt so fortunate to be able to enter the temple with family and friends to witness their marriage and sealing for time and all eternity.  I always learn so much every time I enter the temple and consider myself blessed to have a brother who found such a wonderful woman to share the rest of eternity with and am grateful for the example they are setting for those around them.

Friday morning I had the opportunity to join 2 friends and their little ones at the Cincinnati Zoo, and this time it was bright and sunny, so I walked out with a touch of sunburn, but Caleb had a good time running around with friends and I liked getting to watch the Cheetah's run and seeing the lion cubs who, in just the past 3 weeks, have finally been allowed to join their parents in the outdoor enclosure.  We got to witness the flamingos being fed, and Caleb loved seeing the giraffes, so overall, I consider it a successful trip, even if it was pretty busy.

In General:
I guess I've pretty much covered everything already.
Tuesday David and Keeley were sealed for all time and Eternity in the Columbus temple.
Thursday we had the elders over for dinner, and they were able to teach us one of the lessons our mission president and Stake president put together for the members of our stake.
Saturday morning we were at the church nice and early for the brunch reception my parents hosted for the newly weds, then made the 2 and a half hour drive to Mt. Vernon for the reception her parents were hosting.  I got to dance with Byron, which I loved and David even tried to get in on the Cotton-Eyed Joe.  We got home a little late, and David was up nice and early, so the boys were a bit of a handful yesterday, but it's over, David is married, and life is wonderful.

I hope each of you is getting to enjoy this beautiful spring as well!  Cheerio!

Her friend couldn't redo the wedding style until later that afternoon.

Sorry, had to share this one because they got to use my hostess trays and I think they're kinda pretty. :)
