All the Good Things

I only have about 15 minutes to crank this out, so it will be short and pictures will come later.

I tried writing a full blog the other day making fun of some of the things the boys have done recently (i.e. the trouble David manages to get into) but the more I wrote the more depressing it sounded.  I am one whiny chick sometimes.  So I'm going to quickly record all the good things we have going for us.

Caleb is the sweetest boy on the planet and a huge helper.  He can identify 3 and 5 and can bring me the right size diaper for either brother any time I ask. He loves planes, trains, and roller coasters, and all he ever wants is to spend time with Mom and Dad, reading books, playing trains or princesses, and getting some love while learning about the world around him.

David is old enough that he wants to be potty trained and as long as I stay alert and leave him diaperless, all the really stinky messes end up in the toilet, which means one less stinky diaper I have to change and one step closer to another little one in big boy underwear (woo hoo! I'll save some money on diapers!) haha.  He loves to sing, and listen to music and play swords and snuggle.  He has the most mischievous smile I've ever seen.  Even his normal, day to day, happy smile looks impish.  All he needs are some pointy ears and we're good to go right?

Ezekiel is such a gift.  He loves to be held, and will sit on your lap forever observing the world around him and chowing down on any soft food he can get his hands on. He loves waffles and bananas and baby food when it's carrots or squash, but he's not a huge fan of pumpkin or mashed green beans (can't say that I blame him).

Byron loves riding his bike to work, and is so perfect, every day.  This weekend marks 6 years since we met and spent a fun weekend together at a YSA conference in Kirtland Ohio.  He celebrated his 5 year anniversary as a BerrieHill employee by receiving an extra week of vacation time (woo hoo!) So he is taking Friday off so we can have a long weekend.  It won't be as restful as originally planned since we have 4 HS graduations, 1 missionary farewell, a baptism, and a dinner appointment with our ward sister missionaries on the books, but he is excited about getting to play racquetball Saturday morning and taking the boys to the pool Friday.  I am so blessed with a husband that loves family time as much as I do.

Among some of my other blessings are
fire alarms that work (a little too well sometimes)
a ward family that loves us
a comfortable home that provides rest and sanctuary
enough clothes for my boys to fill 9 plastic totes with off season/not their size yet clothes
A working washer and dryer
Really fun activity day girls

annnnnd I ran out of time. Hope you're all having a beautiful day. Love you all and hope you're as happy as I am
