I Want Yer-git!

So, the reason I am finally writing a blog again, is because I got a new keyboard for my laptop, and I'm super excited about it.

Things have been busy and there's no way I can cover all of the months I've missed blogging, but I can do what I can to fill you in on our recent activities.

Ezekiel:  He's already 7 months old.  I can't believe how quickly he is growing.  He sits up, feeds himself solid foods.  He loves waffles and green beans and potatoes.  He loves cheerios, and is pretty grabby.  He can scoot backward, and rolls all over the place, but for the most part. he just wants to be entertained and loved on.  He loves being tickled and watching Caleb pretend to fall and make funny faces.  It makes him giggle and it's all kinds of cute!

David:  He is mischievous, makes more messes in 10 minutes than Caleb does in a day, and is the master of driving me up the wall.  As soon as Byron walks out the door he is in my bed and bouncing all over the place trying to get me out of bed.  He also loves to use his imagination. which Caleb sometimes does not enjoy, but I always do. He loves to snuggle but hates to sit still, so snuggle sessions involve a lot of rocking back and forth or side to side.  If he keeps it up I'll have killer obliques in a couple of months.  He likes to pretend he doesn't want to eat and if he had the choice he would subsist on peanut butter (straight out of the jar) go-gurt (which he lovingly refers to as yer-git), chocolate milk, and doritos.  And bananas.  He loves bananas.

Caleb:  He's growing so tall, and looks so grown up with his summer haircut.  He informed me he wants to be a fireman when he grows up and asks me where he wants to serve his mission.  He loves to make up his own songs and try to have Byron and I sing them back to him.  He is becoming quite the little man.  He loves to be my big helper.  He will do almost anything I ask of him if he's being my helper. but if asked to clean up after himself or take care of a responsibility, he balks.  He loves books though, and I'm meeting with two friends from church to talk about and plan a preschool co op for him.  I think he'll love it.  He has certainly acquired Byron's thirst for learning.

Byron:  He is the perfect husband.  I love him to pieces and I'm so grateful for him every day.  We recently experimented with his work schedule and he started going in at 7 rather than 8 and coming home at 4 instead of 5.  It gives us so much more time to spend together as a family in the evening.  The boys are getting more consistent bed times, and I get to spend more time with him as well.

Arielle:  Life is a dream.  My children are healthy and happy, Byron and I still seem to find romance in crazy hectic lives, and I'm learning a lot.  My Mary Kay business is doing well, and I have learned so much.  I feel more confident, and am seeing all kinds of interesting benefits I didn't expect.

In General:  We love going to Granny and Grandad's for dinner every Sunday and getting to play with Aunts and  Uncles.  When I remember to go and ask Amelia is an awesome Mother's Helper, and I'm grateful I live close to family.  We had a good time when David and Keeley came to visit a couple of weeks ago, nand miss all of our family that lives out of state.  There are a lot of different things that want to pull us in a lot of different directions this year, so we're trying to figure out where to go and when, but for now I'm just trying to figure out when to fit in some spring cleaning.

Last weekend we made our first of many trips to Kings Island for the summer.  We bought season passes and Caleb even went with me on the Viking ship.  It was so fun! He said he didn't want to do it again this summer but he and David both loved the old school carnival swings and bumper cars and Caleb has been asking to go back every day this week.

I suppose that's all I have for now. I hope you're all having wonderful weekends and that you enjoyed our quick update.

Cheerio!
