Geez a Weasel!

I've decided it's much easier to write when I'm excited, and I'm excited all the time now.  It took a lot of self control to make myself wait a whole week before posting on the blog again, yet now that I'm here, things that I think about all day every day and are consuming all of my time and mind are probably rather trivial to everyone else, so, read on if you wish to hear all the babbling of this crazy pregnant lady.

Caleb is our advocate for family prayer, family scripture reading, and family home evening.  He gets our scriptures out each evening, loves to be the one to say the prayer, or help David, and puts in requests for family home evening lessons.  It's pretty great.

David has entered the "once in a while I have an accident" phase of potty training and it's so exciting! Strangely his accidents tend to always happen at home, but I won't complain.  It's much easier to deal with here than when we're out and about. He does best with underwear on, so even though he loves to strip down and run around the house naked, our one requirement is that he keep his underwear on all the time.

Ezekiel is still chugging along.  As I mentioned last week, he hates being fed, so all of our meals now have to meet the "Can Ezekiel feed this to himself" criteria, because if he can't get it in his mouth on his own, he simply doesn't eat.  He got to try out nursery last Sunday! I took him in during third hour, and he wasn't too sure about things.  He would only go for the toys that had been abandoned, and always came back to my lap to play with them.  Hopefully he'll do okay next week when he's in there all alone.

Byron is my constant source of sanity.  He doesn't mind that I just talk about the same things over and over again, he keeps the boys occupied and is much better at keeping the boys motivated to clean up their own messes whereas I'm the one that gets frustrated after the 10th time of asking them to do something and end up doing it myself.  I don't know how he does it, balancing work, a tired pregnant wife, and three energetic boys, but I'm so grateful for him and everything he does to keep things running around here.

I am 14 (and a half) weeks! I have officially made it through my first trimester, and feel like things are moving so quickly! I have fully embraced my early onset nesting and am pretty much re-arranging the entire house so I always find a project to work on in the morning.  I've purged my closet, organized the boy's dresser and closet, packed all of the toys into separate bins that will from now on be stored in the garage.  The boys will each get to pick one bin to have in the house, but if it doesn't get cleaned up, they'll lose that bin until it's time to select a new one again. I organized the linen closet, got rid of all the cleaning stuff we don't use anymore and have 2 good piles going, one for the nickel auction, and one for Goodwill.  I'm pretty stoked.  I've hit a small wall, knowing that I should save a lot of the heavy lifting for Byron, so I'm looking forward to having him home this weekend so we can knock out one or two of the bigger things.

I had a dream the other night that the ultrasound showed that both babies are girls.  I have only had a gender dream with ONE of my other 3 pregnancies, so I'm not sure if it's an actual gender dream or just my pregnant brain making things up, but I thought it was interesting.  Byron is counting down the weeks until our next ultrasound, and I'm trying to keep my mind off it by reading every mommy blog on Twin pregnancy, nursing, and sleep routines ever written. My favorite ones on hospitals are actually from the Labor and Delivery nurses.  They're always a fun mix of setting realistic expecations and sarcasm, and make everything seem a little less daunting.

P.S. If you have never googled pictures of women pregnant with twins, it's unreal.  They all look like they have beach balls hiding under their clothes! I'm pretty sure by the end of this I'll be wearing nothing but maxi dresses as nothing else is going to fit!

I suppose that's everything I have for now.  Hope you're all having a beautiful week!

Alyssa watched the boys so we could go to the temple this month and
took the boys to a fun Irish Luau.  The boys had a blast!

Byron is my ever willing model when I make things.
He's the best. <3
I've decided knitting is awesome because
1) You can take it with you anywhere. Sewing machines are too big for such nonsense!
2) you only have to remember how to do 2 stitches for a lot of patterns
3) It's fairly fast when you're chunky knitting
4) You can hide your mistakes!

One of my favorite pictures EVER of this kid.
Look at that smile! and that crazy hair!
Thank you Alyssa!!!
