2 weeks ago Byron took a trip with BerrieHill for a conference. He flew out Monday afternoon and back in Friday morning. Alyssa came to stay with me so I wouldn't go completely crazy, but since she still had work, I still found myself largely on my own with my 3 boys. I was pretty tired by the end of the week, and was so grateful my parents gave me a break on Thursday, taking all three of them and letting them play all day long. Alyssa took them Friday morning so I could surprise Byron at the airport. He had driven up to the airport on Monday with his co-worker, and was expecting to go back to the office and work a couple more hours before coming home, but thanks to my amazing family, I got to pick him up and we went on a date instead.
Tuesday I went and picked up Roger and we went to the Air Force Museum. I was feeling like super woman so I didn't take a stroller with me, and let Ezekiel walk the full quarter mile from the front door to the entrance of their newest gallery. I got tired of chasing him up and down the ramp to the training space shuttle they had though and quickly found the "strollers" they offer free of charge to guests and strapped him in. He wasn't too thrilled, but I was relieved. We had a good time there, and it was fun finally getting to see the exhibits you used to have to get on a bus for.
Wednesday we picked up Amber. She helped me with some major grocery shopping before we headed over to a new local park. It was a blast! They have some of the coolest, most interactive equipment I've ever seen. Amber told me it was "a little big" for my boys, but I told her it was okay, it just meant she got to have fun too, so she climbed all over the place and showed Caleb the ropes (literally hahaha) We grabbed a yummy lunch at chick fil a, with custom milkshakes for the boys from my awesome sister Alyssa, then went home for naps and quiet time.
Thursday was Charlie's day! He came over to the house and the boys had a good time playing. I made some chocolate chip cookies for their morning snack and we took the rest of the batch to Byron and his co-workers, before getting a quick lunch at Sam's Club. All of the other mommy's and grandma's sitting in the cafe area gave me looks like I was insane since I appeared to have FOUR boys all very young, and another baby on the way. After lunch we took him home and traded him for Amelia. She watched the boys so I could pick up a toddler bed (and mattress!) I had found on craigslist for only $30! When I went to pick it up the woman at home didn't speak any English, but with pictures on my phone from the listing, she helped get it out of the house, I loaded it into the car, and was on my way.
We fed the elders that night and Caleb had a good time showing off his "Missionary Map" since neither of them had signed it yet. I started it when we moved into the house, before Caleb was old enough to know what I was doing. We got a world map to hang in his room and invite all the missionaries who eat dinner with us to sign it, anywhere they want. A lot of them sign where they're from, so Utah is pretty much covered. I'm hoping the rest of it will be too by the time he turns 18. :)
Friday morning we headed to the Englewood YMCA for swimming and playtime with Katrina and her kids. It was such fun, we had a picnic lunch in the lobby, and the kids got to run off a ton of energy.
Things we are looking forward to this week:
My Daddy's Birthday! We got to eat his yummy birthday dinner on Sunday with the family, but we still need to drop off his birthday present.
Kindergarten registration! Caleb can't wait, though this morning he exclaimed "wait! I can't play soccer! The games are on Saturday morning's and I'll have school!" That kid is seriously adorable. I just love him to death.
Gender Ultrasound!!! Mark your calendars my lovely people, for Friday is the day! I am so looking forward to finding out what my little flutters are. <3 I am kind of feeling like it will be a boy and a girl, but Friday we'll know for sure!
That's all I have for now, love you all!!
