Caleb is learning all kinds of new words, and listening to him play with David is hilarious, because he still doesn't quite understand what some of them mean. The theme of this week has been usual vs. unusual. So for 2 days straight I was asked questions like "Would it be usual or unusual if everyone's hair was pink?" He is officially registered for kindergarten and Granny gave him and his brothers their first summer buzz of the year. The boys are so cute when you can see their faces. I fear I always let their hair get too long and they look like little rag-a-muffins.
David is also really fun to listen to as he plays. He has such an active imagination and comes up with some of the sweetest things sometimes. We are working on boundaries with him. He is very loving and gives kisses at some inopportune moments just kissing whatever is closest to him. We've witnessed kisses everyone from rear ends to toes and are trying our best to teach him hands and faces only.
Ezekiel has been super snuggley the past few days and is frustrated he doesn't fit into my lap the way he used to. He tries over and over and over to sit on me only to find my belly in the way. He gets so frustrated, and if it wasn't so cute, we would probably both end up crying. :)
Byron and I really enjoyed going to the latest ultrasound. My parents and sisters, Gabrielle and Alyssa, joined us since we would be finding out genders. I missed the "wear pink, think pink" memo from my mom and sisters and showed up in a very neutral top that my sisters gave me a hard time about, but oddly enough I don't actually own any pink maternity tops.
We were of course over the moon to find there is a sweet boy and girl growing in my belly. Watching the ultrasound was exciting because the babies are laying together face to face, belly to belly, and you could see their little hands reaching towards one another, even though they can't really touch being di-di fraternal twins. They were being a bit stubborn so we only have 1 picture of each of them with their cute little profiles, but they let us know their gender no problem so I can't complain.
The babies are growing strong and healthy, each one weighs 8 oz, there are no red flags in their bone structure, and each has 4 heart chambers beating strong. We go in again in 4 weeks for a more detailed anatomy scan, but for now things are progressing beautifully.
My mom took the most perfect pictures of us afterwards for our gender reveal, and bought incredible baby books for them that have things I can already start filling out. They're so pretty I'm almost afraid to write in them, but I'm also excited to start writing memories down. I know it will mean a lot when they are older. <3
Easter weekend was over way too quickly. We took the boys to an egg hunt in Moraine, since it was the only one local that didn't interrupt my naptime, which I fiercely protect right now. Caleb got to go to 2 or 3 others with Granny and Grandad and Byron and I came back home, after grabbing a nap I started preparing some of the food we would be bringing to my parents for Easter dinner.
Sunday morning we finished cooking some things, helped the boys dye eggs, which Caleb did almost entirely by himself. He was so proud of them, and got ready for church. Getting to attend church with my family is always so special and I know the boys love it. I got to chat a little bit with a sister in their ward that has 2 sets of twins (!!!) and she gave me some great advice on what to expect and how to handle some things.
After church Byron helped hide over 150 eggs in my parents yard and we let the kids loose to search for them all. I'm not sure they were all found, but they came really close, there were less than 10 missing when all was said and done. The eggs were so bright and fun to look at, and because they're such a novelty David tried them, and likes them! Caleb wasn't a fan, but that's alright.
We shared our Easter dinner with the sisters serving in my parents ward, and had a good time. I love Easter and how much it helps us focus on the importance of family and how much we want to better ourselves.

| David's hair cut before my mom fixed it. He doesn't like getting it cut so mine always end up looking pretty patchy, this one was especially bad. hahaha |

| Freshly showered! I had cut his hair too, but it wasn't perfect either unless you styled it Thank goodness my mom can fix these things hahaha |
