See Me Running Through That Open Door

Today's blog title is for Space Jam lovers involved in my life - does anyone else remember the "re-write" everyone was singing when we were in Elementary school?

"I believe I can fly. I got shot by the FBI. All I wanted was a chicken wing. So my mom took me to Burger King. I believe I can soar. Take a dash through that open door"

No? Oh well, good times.  I actually chose it because this week felt like it went by really fast.

Caleb:  He's earned the nickname "Kotu" from his Granny - and acronym that stands for King of the Universe, which I've discovered he is...currently, but we're working on changing that.  He's not making it easy on either of us, but I'm sure he'll survive.  He's still walking - a lot - and is trying to break as many bones as possible without making it look like it's on purpose.  Example - just today he was caught standing on his little shopping cart trying to climb over the side of the couch (trying to get out of the play pen I'd put him in so I could clean) when he slipped and fell, busting his chin on the way down - there was no blood, but there was a lot of crying involved.  Apparently it didn't hurt too badly though since he was trying to climb on it again not 20 minutes later.

Byron:  He had a good week at work and enjoyed riding his bike in the warmer weather on Thursday and Friday.  He talked to one of the other guys in the company about whether we could have the boxes from the move and the guy happens to have a truck, so he said that we probably could have the boxes and he volunteered to help (he owns a good sized pick up truck).  Pretty exciting if you ask me :) :) :)

Arielle:  This week I got to meet with the YW president to talk about the new responsibilities I'll have serving as an adviser for the Beehives in our ward.  Thursday evening I got to go to my first mutual activity, where we worked on plans for our New Beginnings activity that's coming up in 2 weeks.  It's going to be pretty incredible.  Friday morning I dropped Caleb off at a friends house and went to a Dr. appointment.  It was nice getting to go un-hindered by Caleb and it was even more fun to hear about how much fun my friend had with him afterwards.  Apparently I'm not the only person he jabbers to in the car, and he danced for her when she took him to the store.  He's such a cutie pie :)

In General:  Wednesday afternoon Byron and I went out for lunch with his co-workers.  Spouses were invited so there was another wife there, sitting across the table from us, and eating lunch with these people is a lot funnier than dinner - they actually stopped talking about work and spent a lot of time poking fun at each other (for all having work in common, they have extremely different personalities) and one of the guys Byron interned with even said "At times I'm surprised we get along as well as we do" (He's a rock climber, sky diver, organic food type person that literally inhales food.  I've never seen anyone who can eat that fast). Today we spent the morning at home (after getting some Bill's Donuts, Byron's favorite) then headed out for the post office.  The price for international stamps has gone up (in case anyone didn't know) but they were out of the 5 cent stamps I needed so I ended up getting a bunch of 2 and 3 cent stamps - I'm going to be one of those cool people that covers their envelope in stamps hahaha

Well, I guess that's all for this week.  I hope you all had a good one - Cheerio!

He had tipped it over but decided to keep playing in it
