I Wake Up Lovin' You

I know this is being posted 2 weeks late, but I wrote it on time so I hope you all enjoy reading it.

This week has been so much fun and I am feeling so incredibly blessed.

David:  He's still sleeping great, he's spending more time awake and alert without demanding to be fed, and has grown into the 0-3 month clothing so I got to put him in the adorable sweater vest for church today that my sister in law made for Caleb.  He looked absolutely darling and women at church were absolutely in love with it.

Caleb:  He's still not conforming to a sleep schedule, but he'll fall asleep in the car and stay asleep when I lay him in his bed now, so I'm hoping we're on the right track towards a reasonable bedtime and easy nap time again.  We shall see.  I bought him big-boy underwear at Sam's this week (they only had a few left and they were more reasonably priced than other stores) and Byron and I priced potty chairs and talked about what we're looking for.  Caleb's not quite ready to potty train yet, but probably within the next month or so.  He picked out some really great books at the library all by himself and was great about letting me pick out a couple movies.

Byron:  This week hasn't been so fun for him.  He got sick and had a 4 day weekend forced on him when I convinced him to stay home from work and go to the doctor on Thursday.  The strep test came back negative on the fast test, and they put in a long one but he never heard what the result was. The doctor told him to stay home Friday anyway, so he did.  He did manage to get some work done from home that afternoon when I took the boys out to run around a bit though.

Arielle:  I've enjoyed so much this week, and am in such a great mood about the week to come!  Wednesday I got to play tennis with my parents again at the park, and had an absolute blast.  I was pretty sore almost all day Thursday, but it was totally worth it.  Tennis is so fun - even when you're not good at it. :)  Thursday I spent time babying Byron and trying to get as many fluids into him as I could.  He was a great sport about it and I was relieved when he agreed to go to the doctor.  Friday afternoon I took the boys with me to donate all the excess milk I've been pumping since David was born (over 150 oz) to a lady who needed it for her 9 month old daughter before heading to my parents house.  I got to socialize for a bit before heading out to take Alyssa to work and spend time at the library with the boys.  It was a great afternoon and it was nice to get out of the house for a couple of hours.

In General:  Monday night we had a combined FHE at the soccer park with my parents and siblings again.  It was a ton of fun and I am looking forward to doing it again tomorrow.  Wednesday we fed the Elders dinner last minute when they called just as I was picking Byron up from work.  It was fun, but I'm afraid they may have caught what Byron had since they didn't come to church today on account of being sick.  (I didn't realize how sick Byron was since he downplays things and was looking healthier that day)  Saturday Byron had been on antibiotics for more than 24 hrs, his fever had broken and his tonsils were no longer swollen, so we went to soccer games.  We spent all morning and the early hours of the afternoon at various soccer games and were totally wiped out by the time we got home.  We spent the rest of the evening relaxing at home and just enjoying each other's company.  Today we were approached by a couple at church we've had dinner with once and they asked if they could make dinner for us.  They were supposed to feed the elders but they were sick (oops) and ironically, we were the ones they thought to ask to help them eat the food they had planned on sharing with them.  (Don't worry, I didn't feel guilty at all...not)  We had a good time though and I was happy to have them over.  They're super fun.

An appropriate face for the outfit his Aunt Alyssa picked for him
He rarely ever cries, so it was funny to catch him so upset.

The song for this week is actually a break up song I heard on the radio that I'm not a fan of, but I thought the line for the blog post, taken out of context, is pretty accurate for how I feel most mornings.
