'Cause This is Thriller

This week has been pretty fun.  We got to spend a lot of time together as a family, and we managed to not drive each other bonkers!

David:  Monday afternoon was his 2 month wellness check.  He weighed in at 14 lbs, 4 oz and is in the 93rd percentile for weight.  The doctor said he looked great and joked that there was no need for him to start a "failure to thrive" work-up.  He's a sweet little angel that has started making eye contact with me and smiling during the time he spends awake and alert and it just melts my heart.

Caleb:  I think he's teething again, getting his 2 year molars in.  He spent most of this afternoon in a rather cranky state and we gave him some teething tablets before bed.  He doesn't like changing clothes, or getting his diaper changed, but loves to pull his socks off and put them on his hands when they get cold so he acquired some new mittens this week which he'll wear for hours while playing.  It's kind of cute.

Byron:  This week has been pretty great.  Work is going well and soccer season is finally over.  They lost their first game of the "in house tournament" Saturday afternoon 2-1, but he and the coach were pleased by how well the players did during the game.

Arielle:  I haven't done much out of the norm this week.  Tuesday and Thursday were water zumba, which I love. Thursday one of our songs was "Thriller" in honor of Halloween, so that was pretty fun, and I used a ton of energy Tuesday jumping during another one of the songs.  My legs were burning by the end of it, but it felt awesome.  I spent some time with my Mommy almost every afternoon.  Monday and Tuesday we ran errands, and Thursday we went to see Raeanna for her 70th birthday. Pretty exciting :) Wednesday I went to Cincinatti with my friend Heather.  We took a day trip to to Jungle Jim's, this fun store with all kinds of food from all over the world.  I tried aloe water for the first time ever (water infused with gel from aloe vera plants)  It's about 100x better than you would expect to be, and a fun novelty, but not something I would ever purchase, I bought some Challah bread, and some cinnamon from Hungary, partially because it says "Pride of Szeged" on it, which is one of the area's Byron served in, and partially because I was almost out and needed more anyway. Afterwards we went to Ikea for lunch and I finally bought Caleb a potty chair.  I really need to get on that whole "potty training" wagon soon, while he still gets excited about sitting on the chair and isn't throwing fits over it.

In General:  We've had a couple fun things happen this week.  Wednesday night we had Byron's co-worker Bill over with the sister missionaries for dinner. It was fun, the food was yummy, and after dinner the elders came and taught Bill the first discussion.  He committed to reading more of the Book of Mormon and trying to come to church, so he may come for David's baby blessing, but we'll see.  Thursday night was a free evening so we went and got our pumpkins.  They have yet to be carved, but we had a good time picking them out and they're currently sitting in the garage, waiting for Family Home Evening so they can have cute faces cut into them. :)  Friday morning we closed on the house! We met my parents at the bank bright and squirrelly and signed our lives away.  We joked that they let you keep the pens because they know there's almost no ink left in them by the time you're done anyway and Caleb and Charlie enjoyed sitting at the big table and being a part of everything.  David slept through it all, we got the rest of the keys to the house and mailbox, and are now officially adults! Byron has a full-time job, we have 2 kids, and we're making house payments! I can't even type the sound I make in my head every time I think that hahaha.  Yesterday we had wanted to get our family pictures taken, but it was freezing outside.  We finally broke down and turned the heat on in the afternoon when David and Caleb's hands were still freezing after having a fire going for a couple of hours.  (It was only 56 in the house, and even colder outside)  Today is my baby brother's 3rd birthday!!! He got all kinds of fun new things to play with and we enjoyed cake and ice cream with him tonight after a fun birthday dinner of tater-tots, soft pretzel bites, and chicken strips. yum!

Well, I guess that's all the news for this week.  Can't wait to see Mom and Dad Boulton next weekend!!! Have a wonderful week!
