Be Happy

This post is already 2 weeks old, I got it typed up on time but it's taken me this long to get pictures posted, which is sad, since there are only 3.  Didn't realize how quickly time went by. Go me.

David:  I guess there's not much new in his world.  He loves chewing on anything he can get his hands on and enjoys gnawing on multi-grain cheerios.  He's still the most perfect baby ever and I am so grateful for him.

Caleb:  He's finally saying "yes"!  For the longest time he's been clicking his tongue to affirm we're doing what he's asked for, but this week he's finally started using the word and I am so happy! hahaha He also has taken a nap almost every day this week since I finally listened to my parents, and began staying in his room to pat his back and sing him to sleep after I get David down for his nap.  I am so grateful for the guaranteed breaks every day and also love the special bonding time it creates for he and I each day.  He seems to have divided Byron and I into seperate roles for bedtime though since he no longer lets me read to him in his rocking chair, and tells Byron "no" when he starts singing to him at night.

Byron:  He's been really busy again last week   This week his boss and 2 of his co-workers are presenting all the work that's been done in the "black box" at a conference in Alabama, so he was writing up a presentation for them to take with them while keeping up with his other projects.  Tuesday night he took the Elders out.  They were supposed to go to a teaching appointment but it fell through, so they visited some other contacts they elders had.

Arielle:  This week has been pretty fun.  I'm still going to exercise most every day.  Friday I swam with my mommy and made it 3/4 of a mile in an hour.  She could have gone farther, but I was pretty proud of myself and my legs were so sore the next morning.  Wednesday I had a visiting teaching appointment and Caleb had fun playing with all their toys while we talked, before going to see Aunt Liz and her boys.  Caleb had a blast following Westley around, dumping out all of the toys, and I enjoyed making delicious salted caramel chocolate chunk cookie bars.  Yes, they were as delectable as they sound, but I still managed to stay within my calorie count that day. Yea for exercise!

In General:  We've had a great week.  Monday night we had a fun FHE.  Byron did a "hands on" lesson for Caleb about the Tree of Life in Lehi's dream.  He drew a picture of a tree and put some grapes on it, and when he told Caleb about Lehi wanting to share the fruit with his family, Caleb got to share grapes with each of us.  It was darling, and even though he probably didn't quite understand, it was nice getting him involved in the lesson. Friday Byron took me on a date to see Frozen.  I loved the movie, and he enjoyed it enough to whistle the music most of Saturday.  Saturday evening my Mommy came over with some of my siblings to help me with the floor.  We got a lot more done in way less time since we weren't working around the closet, but had to stop before we were done since I didn't have the tools to make the angled cuts in the doorway, but we should be able to finish it next time we work on it and Byron helped me fill in some chips and holes in the dresser drawers that we'll be sanding down after they wood filler dries completely.  Sunday afternoon, Caleb didn't want to wake up from his nap and fell back asleep on me during post nap-time snuggles, so Byron got a pair of scissors and a comb out for me and I cut Caleb's hair.  He does not like having his hair cut, so it was nice being able to do it without him shying away from me and crying, and it actually doesn't look too bad considering.  There were a couple times we were laughing so hard I was afraid we were going to wake him, but he'd just stir and stay asleep, thank goodness.  I can't imagine how hard it would have been to try and match both sides if he was fighting me for the second half.  After a delicious dinner at my parents house, Chandler insisted on turning on the superbowl.  He was the only one totally engrossed, but we kept it on until half time and enjoyed some of the commercials.  My favorites were the Pepsi and Doritos commercials, but when Bruno Mars chose such an inappropriate song to open his half time show, we turned it off and Byron and I headed home with the boys.

That's all the news we have for this post, hope you're all doing well! We love you all.

Ready to brave the cold with a cute hat from Aunt Melissa <3

He fell asleep and I just thought it was precious.
