Ezekiel: 2 weeks ago was his baby blessing. We had it done in my parents ward so Mom and Dad Boulton wouldn't have to leave church early to get to the airport. Grandma and Grandpa Wilson were able to come up from Kentucky, and Aunt Wendy and Uncle Ryan and Katrina and Casey came. It was so beautiful, and I am so grateful for all of our family and their love and support. It makes my heart happy when we can come together and celebrate such happy occasions.
He will be 8 weeks old on Tuesday, and 2 months old next Sunday! I can't believe how quickly he is growing. He weighs almost 13 lbs, is holding his head up already, seems to be outgrowing his 0-3 month clothes already (his tummy is just so chunky!), is the noisiest sleeper in the world, and loves to smile. He sleeps well, but doesn't seem to have much of a schedule right now. I'm hoping that will change as we get into our winter groove.
David: He can count to 10 on his own as long as you don't mind him skipping the 3, he loves playing with trains and swords, and is a huge fan of Baymax (the robot in Disney Pixar's Big Hero 6). He also really enjoys picking on Caleb...and loving on Ezekiel, sometimes a little too much. He says "Yes sir!" to any question that he's willing to say yes to, and has the cutest smile in the universe!
Caleb: He's growing so big and so fast! His last soccer game was on Halloween. He didn't score a goal that day, but he did try several times, and played the whole game, even though it was freezing!
He uses the word "even" in place of "and" so if you say "take of your shoes" he'll say "even my socks!" It's kind of cute, but we're trying to teach him the right way to say it.
He is going through a phase where he asks for every toy he can think of. If I tell him no he says "but I don't have one!" My favorite story as far as this goes, is that he found a toy he really wanted at Joann's. It's this little crane from the Thomas and friends train set, and at that particular store it costs $70. We spent a couple of weeks explaining that it was too expensive and we would never buy it. I kept trying to get him to understand how many other things we could buy with $70, like having pizza for dinner 7 times! or another bicycle and helmet and things like that. So one morning we're at the breakfast table and he asked for something else and we said "no, it's too expensive" and his response was "but I LIKE 'spensive things!" At least he's figured out that he's not getting any birthday presents from Byron and I this year since he got his bike and helmet at the beginning of summer, but now he's asking for things for "when I turn FIVE!"
Byron: He still loves riding his bike to work, he's been keeping busy getting all kinds of projects wrapped up, and has spent a lot of time in one of the secure rooms at work that has it's own server and only one of the computers in the room has internet service.
Wednesday he had the day off work so we went to the air force museum in the morning. We were trying to get to the third hangar since he's never made it back there before, but we spent an hour and a half walking through all of the other stuff on the way back there and were pretty hungry, so we headed back out and spent a couple minutes in the gift shop before heading out to eat lunch.
He's been an absolute lifesaver two weeks in a row now. Last week I had a kidney infection and he did all that he could before heading into work to make my days as easy as possible, and this week I pushed myself a little too hard in a new class I'm attending at the Y. My legs were pretty sore all week and I've been kind of useless, but he's made up for it and then some.
Arielle: I'm keeping busy taking care of the boys, going to TRX at the Y, and trying to get my Mary Kay business going. My days are going by way way too quickly and I can't believe how busy life is. All three boys are growing right before my eyes and I can't believe how quickly they learn. Byron is wonderful and perfect and I am so grateful for him every second of the day.
I love working with the Activity Day girls in my ward, and had a really good time going out with our sister missionaries after FHE last Monday. I was able to bare my testimony during a discussion with a new couple they met and I was so amazed by the girls and their willingness to go out of their way to serve the people around them and try to bring them the fullness of the gospel. I am so full of gratitude for so many things in my life right now and can't imagine anything better. My family is amazing, my friends are inspiring, and the gospel is true.
