These Boots Were Made For Walking

This week has involved quite a bit of walking, for all of us.

Caleb:  This week he's really become mobile, walking all over the place and being adorable.  I posted a video on facebook if you feel like watching, it's kinda funny if you ask me, but who am I to judge?  His 12 month clothes finally started fitting a little weird, so I hit the clearance racks at Target and managed to get really good deals on new clothes for him, he should be set the rest of the winter and Charlie's wardrobe had an influx when I took all of Caleb's things to him.  It's awesome having a little brother I can trade my baby's clothes with hahaha

Byron:  He's been writing a tutorial at work and having a grand time doing it, he rode his bike to work Tuesday morning even though Centerville Schools had a 2 hour delay because it was so cold.  As he was pulling into the parking lot his boss saw him and exclaimed "Now that's dedication".  I think my term for it would have been crazy - but to each their own :)  He watched "The Sound of Music" for the first time this weekend and I think he liked it quite a bit.  He'd get frustrated whenever it froze and was into it enough he was asking questions about what would happen next - something he never does because he can see everything coming. haha

Arielle:  This week has been a pretty good one, it went by really fast and I met one of my new visiting teachers.  I got new clothes for Caleb and Byron for really good prices at Target, shopping end of season clearance is definitely the way to go, so they should both be set for quite a while.  Tuesday night I went to my den meeting and we talked about eating healthy, and what junk food was.  I didn't know what the plan was ahead of time and had made brownies as a special treat for the boys, but they seemed a little pointless when there were apples, cheese and crackers, trail mix, and popcorn.  As leaders we joked that we had to give them an example of what junk food was verses healthy snacks.

In General:  It's been a pretty laid back week, without much going on.  Last Saturday was the 144th anniversary of Young's Dairy, a fun farm about 40 min. North of us, so we did "chores" in the morning and cleaned our carpets.  I should have taken before and after pictures because they were pretty gross but they look brand new again :).  After we got done we went and got lunch at Young's Dairy, they're kids meals were only $1.44 and anyone could get them, and their 1 dip waffle cone was the same price so we stuffed ourselves and just happened to run into my Aunt Liz, Uncle Ben, and their 2 boys.  We had fun eating and talking with them before coming home and spending more time together.  I made a skirt for my little sister, Gabrielle, which turned out pretty awesome, and crashed her game night to make sure it fit her.  Monday Byron had the day off for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and we went to Ikea.  We walked around for a couple of hours before becoming overwhelmed and leaving to get lunch (they have a cafeteria there but the lines were ssoooo long).

Byron builds, Caleb destroys. It's a love/hate relationship hahaha
